The 5 Bad Characteristics of Samsung Galaxy A5 2016

A great piece of technology

At first, let us have a look on what exactly the Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 is and how good this smart phone is. With a first glimpse, we can notice that is a strong candidate for every buyer as it combines strong technical specifications as well as a stylish modern design and a solid construction that consists of a metal frame, a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on the back and one on the front to protect the screen. It is also noticeable that for a mid-ranged smart phone the Samsung Galaxy A5(2016) has a lot of features putting a huge pressure both on the market of mid-ranged phones but also on the market of the more expensive and prestigious devices. And here it comes our quick comparison with some of its rivals. The Samsung Galaxy A5(2016) is better in processing than the One Plus X, much better in building quality than any device of Samsung’s J-series(J1, J5, J7 etc.), more stylish and elegant than Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 and it is definitely more solid and performing better than the Huawei Nexus 6P. Nevertheless, after a closer look, we have spotted some drawbacks and we represent the 5 Bad Characteristics of Samsung Galaxy A5 2016.

1. About the Battery
Well, as we can see from the technical specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A5(2016) comes with a Non-Removable Li-Ion 2900 mAh battery. That means that it has a very good battery capable of 16 hours of talking and 76 hours of Music Play but it also means that whatever happens with the battery you cannot just replace it and go on but you need to take the device for a repair and most of the times this is time consuming.

2. About the Camera.
According to the devices specs, the camera is 13MP which is very good. However, it doesn’t support 4K video. For a device that is compared by many with the Samsung Galaxy S6 and it is considered as one of the most modern and well equipped devices of 2016, coming with only 1080p of video is a drawback.

3. About some lacking features
We understand that is a mid-ranged phone and it couldn’t include every possible feature in order to keep the costs reduced. However, we also understand that although it is a good device in terms of performance, it is just good and not an impressive device in terms of performance. And for a modern device of today we think wireless charging is essential and the feature of MHL is very important for the average user.

4. About the internal Memory
The A5(2016) comes with 2GB of RAM, which is acceptable and satisfying most of the times, but some of its rivals, like the One Plus X come with 3GB. However, that is not a very big drawback. The big drawback related with the internal memory is that there is only a 16GB version available. That makes immediately a micro SD card needed if you are from the kind of people that picture everything or store a lot of high quality media. In our opinion a 32GB and a 64GB version wouldn’t harm.

5. About the Glass in the back
We have to admit that the glass in the back of any smart phone give a very elegant touch on the device and a special feeling while holding it. However, this stylish addition comes with the risk of being prone to scratches and even cracks. This risk is very low with the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 but it is not eliminated. And although we really like the elegant touch of the glass it is a fact that it holds a lot of finger prints making sometimes the device looking dirty, even if it is not.
