HTC’s first camera gadget is here! HTC RE Camera is quite remarkable. Living in an era of “selfie”, all those high specs make everyone get jealous. Just wait before you take your selfie and read what other users issued!

1. Battery doesn’t last as long as advertised

Normally, the battery supports 1hr 50mins of continuous FHD video recording, as HTC official website describes. But, in real world, a few users said that it’s an untouchable dream!

2. Non-removable battery

HTC RE Camera has an 820mAh rechargeable battery and non-removable. You should reconsider your purchase, when a battery problem appears.

3. Gets very warm

Many users report that after they used their HTC RE Camera for a certain short amount of time, it got very warm and they should shut it down and power it on again. As the HTC Support describes: “Operating RE for long periods will increase the temperature of the device”. Seriously?

4. Pairing connection problem

The RE App shows an error “‍90″‍ that indicates a Wi‍-Fi connection problem and you have to restart your device with some additional actions in order to get rid of it. Another connectivity issue is that Internet connection intermittent while RE is connected to phone.

The app has also some issues. At first, it can’t find your RE from the Pick your RE screen and there are also certain devices that are not compatible at all. The devices are: LENOVO A808t, ASUS Padphone, Samsung S3, Samsung MEGA, Samsung GT-I9070, Samsung ACE2, Sony Xperia U, Sony Xperia E, Sony Xperia P, HUAWEI Y320-U151, Meitu 2, OPPO N1T, Coolpad 7232, Xiaomi 2, Lenovo A850, Meizu MX2, OPPO Find5 X909, HUAWEI Ascend D2, HTC One X, HTC One X+, iPhone 4 and older and all Windows Phone® models that are currently not supported.
