Will these be the ‘games of the year’ in 2017?

New year, new games; here’s what we’re looking forward to playing in 2017. These games have the potential to be groundbreaking revolutions of modern game-making or the new No Man’s Sky. We hope it’s the first thing.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The next entry in the Legend of Zelda series, coming to the Wii U and Nintendo’s brand new Switch. It has caught the world by storm with its revolutionary (for the series) game direction and the incredible world crafted by the developers. It seems to be one of the biggest Zelda games yet, both in terms of world size as well as what it hopes to achieve.

Resident Evil 7

After being mildly disappointed with Resident Evil 6, I’m hoping RE7 will reignite my interest in the franchise. The gameplay trailers look really promising and I like the atmospheric direction Capcom is going with. If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s worth a look, I believe you will be genuinely excited about this one.

Horizon Zero Dawn

I don’t own a Playstation 4. I don’t plan to. But I’ll be damned, this game looks amazing. Very few games make me want to get a PS4. This is one of them. To me it looks like it takes full advantage of the hardware to make something that was impossible 15 years ago. And that’s what gaming is all about.

Red Dead Redemption 2

The sequel to one of the best open world games of the past generation. This is one of those games that have a 99,9% chance of being a 10/10 experience. Rockstar always delivers.

New Metroid

We can only hope right?
