Game cross-platform gaming is a fact
Microsoft announced something quite important about gaming at E3 2016 press conference. Xbox Play Anywhere will be released on 13 of September!!
Xbox Play Anywhere is a technology that lets the user play participating cross-platform games on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC’s. With that technology you can save your progress and achievements in the game while continuing to play on the other system. Moreover, you can buy the games once in a normal game price and then you can enjoy that innovative technology.
In addition, in order to enable those functionalities it is required to update to Windows 10 Anniversary Update which will be released on 2nd of August and also the Xbox One summer update.
PlayStation president Andrew House talked a bit about Microsoft’s initiative. “I always hesitate to be drawn into discussions of someone else’s strategy.. I’m more than happy to talk about our own strategy. Yes, there was a big emphasis from the folks at Microsoft on Xbox and PC cross-play. It remains to be seen whether there is latent large consumer demand for that.”
The games that support the technology will have the Play Anywhere logo. Below you can find the full list of supported games:
