A smartwatch from Alcatel which is cheap and affordable to buy for many people. It was released in 2015, it includes the basic features and I think that anyone could be satisfied enough from its appearance. In addition, it works with iOS 7+ devices and Android 4.3+ devices. But let’s see what makes that device lack.

1. Limited features
Alcatel One Touch Watch has the usual features of all smart watches. For example, it informs you how many steps you’ve taken and how far you’ve walked, in a more detailed way, calorie counter to let you know how many chocolates you can eat later, notifications etc. These are the main features of One Touch Watch which does not run third party apps. Also, don’t expect an app store. Nothing more than a usual smart watch.

2. Sluggish sometimes
It is mentioned in some reviews that because of the low fps, One Touch is a bit sluggish. However, its UI is really simple and it includes notifications, controls for music, calorie counter, messages/missed calls from your smartphone, notifications from social media etc. In my opinion with that limited features performance and generally user experience should run more “smoothly”.

3. A bit difficult to operate
Yes, I know, I mentioned that One Touch Watch’s user interface is simple. However, because of the low performance and because it is a bit sluggish, your effort to operate it is bigger and your nerves become more sensitive. I know you can’t expect the best from a cheap smart watch like that but at least UI should roll better.

4. Uncomfortable
One Touch’s strap makes your wrist feel sweaty and makes you wonder that you can’t wear it for long time. In addition, if it feels uncomfortable and you want to adjust the strap then you have something difficult to do. Users and reviews mentioned that adjusting One Touch’s strap is not the easiest thing.

5. I think I would not trust heart-rate monitor so much..
It is noticed that One Touch’s heart-rate monitor is not up to date every second. I can characterize it inconsistent because it does only spot readings and I think that type of features should work perfectly in every device that includes it. So I wouldn’t recommend that device to someone who has heart problems and needs to monitor his heart behavior periodically.
