Last Friday, Seth Weintraub exposed some information about the new iPhones we’re going to see at the following Apple Event on the 12th of September. All these are based on a leak which came from some iPhone case makers recently. According to this, the companies have already updated their stock keeping units (SKUs) of their products with the new names of the next iPhones that will be available soon.

The next iPhones are now a fact

The new iPhones which will be announced soon are:

• iPhone 8
• iPhone 8 Plus
• iPhone Edition

Before that leak, there were rumors that we may be seeing a new iPhone called iPhone X Edition, but instead Apple is simply calling that version “iPhone Edition”.

As Weintraub said, the iPhone 7S would be replaced with iPhone 8 and iPhone 7S Plus with iPhone 8 Plus.

The event will be held for the first time-ever at Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, on September 12th at 10:00am (California time).

As for the number of 7-series models, there are two possibilities. The first one is reporting two kind of models: The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, as the second one is reporting one more option called: The iPhone 7 Pro.

As it seems, Apple may move forward to release another model with higher specs. The iPhone 7 Pro is sized up to iPhone 7 Plus size of 5.5inch display. The difference from the other two models will be a dual-lens camera and a smart connector at the rear side.

The famous leaker Evan Blass, tweeted on 19 of July that “The 2 (two!) 2016 iPhone models are codenamed Sonora and Dos Palos”. That is taking down the previous rumor for a third high spec iPhone 7 model. Maybe the additional model will be released in 2016 but it won’t be announced yet.

Also, there is a rumor that iPhone 7 models will no longer based at 16GB of internal memory, but at a 32GB instead. We don’t know for sure yet, if the middle models will be 64GB or 128GB, but the top tier for each model is actually a 256GB model.

General rumors for all kind of models are:
•      Maybe a new darker color option for “Space Black”
•      The 3.5mm headphone jack is gone. It will be replaced by a Bluetooth headset or a thunderbolt headset
•      As a result of the previous one, the iPhone 7 models will be thinner by a whole millimeter
•      Redesigned antenna lines
•      Redesigned Force Touch Home Button
•      A 25 percent larger camera diameter

So we’re just waiting to see what’s next. Wishing that Tim will surprise us more at the event on September 7^th.
