Stack Overflow Survey Results 2018

Stack Overflow, the largest community for software developers, asks its’ community every year about everything revolving around technology and development. This year, they conducted a 30-minute survey and got around 100.000 responses. The results of the 2018 survey can be found on their website.

What are the highest paying developer jobs?

One of the most asked questions, especially for younger developers, is which job title offers the most revenue in return. Well according to Stack Overflow, that would be the Engineering manager. What is particularly interesting though, is that due to the increasing focus on artificial intelligence the last few years, there has been high demand on machine learning specialists and data scientists. For this reason, having that title could help you score the third most paying job in the developer industry. On the other hand, being a mobile or game developer, is one of the least paying job titles you can have as developer.
